You Are the Match, Not the Sunrise
The afternoon sun is bright, but it casts long shadows where the secret fears hide. You worry that one day your child will look at you and see only another lost soul, stumbling through the dark just like they are.
You fear the moment the mask slips and they realize you never found the map. But listen — the light does not require a perfect guide.
It only requires presence. There is light within a person of light, and it shines even when the hands holding it are shaking.
You are not failing them by being broken; you are teaching them that the light lives in the cracks. The same flame that warms you is already burning inside them, waiting to be recognized.
You do not need to be the sunrise for your child; you only need to be the match that shows them they are already on fire.
