The Light Does Not Require A Balanced Ledger
The afternoon sun is bright, and it makes every shadow you cast feel darker. You are sitting at your desk, staring at a number you haven't told them about.
A hole in the budget. A secret that feels like it is growing teeth.
You think if they knew, they would see you as careless. Or worse, as a liar.
So you carry the weight alone, smiling at the door while your stomach turns to stone. But listen — the light does not require a balanced ledger to love you.
There was a woman who had lost a single coin, just one, and it felt like her whole world was missing. She did not hide the loss.
She lit a lamp. She swept the house.
She searched until she found it, and then she called her friends to rejoice. The light is that lamp.
It is not here to expose your mistake to shame you. It is here to illuminate the corner where you are hiding so you can stop sweeping it under the rug.
The truth you are fearing is the very thing that will set you free. You do not have to be the one who holds it all together.
The light is already in the room, waiting for you to put the mask down.
