Resting While the World Watches You
The afternoon sun is bright, and everyone is watching you move, expecting you to know the way forward. But your hands feel heavy, and the silence inside you feels like failure.
You think the light requires you to perform, to have the answers, to lead with certainty. — But the light does not demand your effectiveness.
It only asks for your presence. There is a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off, broken and empty, and he ran before the apology could even be spoken.
He did not wait for the son to become useful again. He ran to the shame.
The kingdom grows like a seed in the dark soil, all by itself, while you sleep and while you struggle. You do not have to force the harvest.
The light is already working in the quiet places you cannot see. You are not failing because you are still; you are resting in the One who carries the world.
