Held Even When You Are Idle
The afternoon sun hangs heavy, and the silence of the room feels like an accusation. You sit there, hands still, waiting for a task to justify the air you are breathing.
The world tells you that you must be useful to be real, that your value is tied to your output. But the light does not work that way.
Jesus sat by the well at noon, tired, asking for a drink—not to achieve, but simply to be present. He told his friends that apart from him, they could do nothing, not because they were weak, but because the life flows through the connection, not the effort.
You are terrified of the stillness because you think it means you are forgotten. But the truth is sharper than your fear: you are held even when you are idle.
The light shines in you not because of what you produce, but because of who you are.
