The Light Keeps Your Quiet Joy
The afternoon stretches out, long and quiet, filled with the hum of ordinary things. You feel a small joy rise up—a bird at the window, a shift in the light—and your hand reaches for the phone before you remember.
There is no one left to call. The silence that follows is heavy, a hollow space where a voice used to be.
But listen closely to that quiet. It is not empty.
The light that lived in Jesus, the same light that saw the sparrow fall and counted the hairs on your head, is already inside you. It was there before the loss, and it remains now, holding the joy you have no one to share.
You do not need to speak it for it to be real. The light hears it.
The light keeps it. Your joy is not lost just because the room is quiet.
