Light Hidden in the Ordinary Ache
The afternoon stretches out, long and quiet, and the pain in your body feels like the only thing that is real. It is a lonely place to be when the world is moving fast outside and you are stuck here, waiting for the next hour to pass.
But listen — there is light within you, a light that came from the place where light generates itself, and it lives in this room just as much as it lives in the sun. You do not have to go anywhere to find it.
You do not have to be well to hold it. The light is already here, hidden in the ordinary ache, waiting for you to recognize that you are made of the same stuff as the dawn.
You came from the light, and to it you will return, but for now, it is enough to simply know that it has not left you alone.
