The Light in the Pause Between Reaching
The afternoon stretches out, long and familiar, and your hand moves before your mind does. Reaching for the second cup.
The old rhythm of needing more to get through the hours. But you stop.
You remember you only need one now. The light is not in the extra effort, the extra fuel, the extra trying.
It is in the quiet space between the reaching and the stopping. That pause is where the kingdom grows, like a seed you did not plant but that sprouts anyway.
You are held in the middle of the day, not by what you consume, but by what is already enough. The light does not ask you to do more.
It asks you to remain.
