The Pause Was Just A Breath
The afternoon stretches out, a long middle where the mind replays the doctor's tone and searches for hidden meaning in a pause. You are still sitting in that chair, hearing the silence between words, convinced the verdict was buried there.
But the light does not speak in riddles or hide its heart in a hesitation. It shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
The pause was just a breath, not a sentence. The light is already inside you, clearer than any human hesitation, and it cannot be broken by a tone of voice.
You are waiting for an answer that the light has already given by staying.
