Silence Is Not A Verdict Against You
The afternoon stretches out, a long gray hallway where the only sound is your thumb refreshing the screen. You are convinced that silence is a verdict.
That if they saw the message and did not reply, you have been weighed and found wanting. But the silence is not a rejection.
It is just the middle of the day, heavy and ordinary, where everyone is buried under their own weight. The light does not demand an instant answer to prove you exist.
It waits with you in the quiet. You are not defined by the notification that hasn't arrived.
You are held by the One who has already seen you, fully, without needing a reply.
