You Are Already Held Beyond Silence
The afternoon stretches out, a long, flat road where the only movement is the refreshing of a screen. You are counting the minutes since your last message appeared, measuring your worth in the silence that follows.
The gap between 'seen' and 'reply' feels like an ocean, and you are drowning in the speculation of what it means. But the light does not live in the notification bar.
It does not fluctuate based on someone else's attention or the speed of their response. There is a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off — he did not wait for a text, he did not check a status.
He ran. Before the apology, before the explanation — he ran.
Your value is not determined by who is ignoring you right now. It is determined by the light that is already inside you, steady and unmoving, regardless of the silence.
You are not waiting to be chosen by a notification. You are already held.
