Stop Hiding the Day You Had
The afternoon stretches long and flat, a hollow space you fill with busy work just to feel something. You are already rehearsing the safe version of this day—the edited highlights you will tell them at dinner so no one asks why your eyes look so tired.
But the light does not need your performance. It does not need the story you polish until it shines like gold.
There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world. Even now, in the silence of your cubicle or the noise of your commute, that light is burning behind the mask you wear.
You do not have to bring forth a perfect day to be seen. You only have to stop hiding the one you actually had.
The truth you are afraid to speak is the very thing that will set you free.
