Laughter Is Not Betrayal But Testimony
The afternoon light is heavy, and in the middle of this long day, a laugh escaped you — full and unguarded. Then came the sting.
The immediate, sharp fear that joy is a betrayal of the one you miss. That to be happy is to forget.
But the light does not ask you to carry the grief as proof of your love. There was a woman once who had lost everything, and when she was healed, the light told her simply: go home to your people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you.
Your survival is not a betrayal. It is the testimony.
The love you carry for them is not diminished by the laughter; it is sustained by it. You are not leaving them behind when you breathe easier.
You are carrying them forward into the light that holds you both.
