The Light Inside Saw The Joke
The afternoon light catches something ridiculous—a shadow on the wall, a bird doing something bold—and your thumb moves instinctively to share it. Then it stops.
The silence in the room is suddenly very loud. There is no one to send it to.
No one to laugh with you. That hollow feeling is not a sign that you are forgotten; it is the space where the light is waiting to be received by you.
The kingdom grows like a seed in the dark, without you needing to force it or explain it. All by itself, the soil produces grain.
Your joy does not need an audience to be real. The light inside you saw the joke, and that is enough.
The laughter is already held.
