Rest Is Where Healing Catches You
The afternoon hums with the noise of things that need doing, and you have become very good at keeping your hands full. You move because you are afraid that if you stop, the silence will rush in and force you to feel the grief you have been outrunning all day.
But the light does not require you to run forever to stay close to it. There is a rest that is not a surrender to the pain, but a return to the root where you were made whole before the hurting began.
You do not have to outrun your own heart; the one who knows everything about you is greater than your fear, and He is not afraid of your grief. Sit down.
The stillness is not a trap; it is the only place where the healing can finally catch up to you.
