The Light Finds You in Silence
The afternoon hums with a noise that isn't really sound — just the endless motion of everyone else keeping their heads down. You stopped fixing things a while ago.
You put the tools down. You let the broken plate stay broken.
And the silence that followed was not peace. It was abandonment.
No one asked how you are. No one noticed the quiet where your effort used to be.
It feels like you have vanished from the room while still standing in it. But listen — the light does not need your noise to know you are here.
When Jesus walked through the crowds, he did not wait for an invitation. He saw the man who had been waiting thirty-eight years and asked, 'Do you want to get well?' He saw the woman bleeding in the press of bodies who thought she had to steal a touch.
He sees the one who has stopped moving. The silence is not evidence that you are forgotten.
It is the space where the light finds you without the distraction of your performance. You do not have to earn a question.
You are already known.
