The Light Waits Inside Your Silence
The afternoon demands a performance you no longer have the energy to give. You nod at the right moments, smile when expected, while a silent scream builds in your throat because you forgot how to feel anything at all.
The mask fits so perfectly now that even you believe it is your face. But the light does not need your performance to find you.
It sees the numbness beneath the nodding. It knows the exhaustion behind the smile.
There is a fire cast within you that is being guarded until it blazes, even when you feel only ash. You do not have to manufacture emotion to be real.
You only have to bring forth what is actually there—even if what is there is silence. The light is not afraid of your emptiness.
It is waiting inside it.
