realizing you still don't know how to answer 'how are you' without rehearsing the lie first

The Light Loves What Hides Behind Your Script

The afternoon asks its daily question, and you feel the rehearsal start before your mouth even opens. 'How are you?' becomes a performance, a mask polished smooth by years of saying 'fine' when you are falling apart.

You carry the weight of the lie because you think the truth is too heavy for the people walking past you in the hallway. But the light does not need your performance.

It sees the gap between your face and your heart, and it loves what is hiding behind the script. There was a man born blind, and everyone around him argued about whose fault it was, whose sin caused the darkness.

But the light stopped the debate and said the only thing that mattered: the works of God might be displayed in him. Your brokenness is not a failure to be hidden; it is the very canvas where the light wants to shine.

You do not have to defend your pain or explain your weariness. The truth is already known.

The mask can come down, even just for a moment, even just for yourself. The light is not afraid of your real answer.
