The Light Stands in Your Hunger
The afternoon asks for a performance you do not have the energy to give. Someone says, 'How are you?' and the script demands you say 'blessed' while you are starving inside.
The hunger is real, but it is not the whole truth of who you are. You came from the light, the place where the light came into being on its own accord.
That origin cannot be erased by a polite lie spoken at 2pm. The light does not require you to pretend the starvation isn't happening.
It stands with you in the hollow place, refusing to let the mask become your skin. You are not the performance you give to get through the middle of the day.
