the obsessive rewriting of the conversation in your head where you say the perfect thing instead of the true thing

The Light Lives in the Raw Moment

It is three in the morning, and the room is quiet enough to hear the replay. You are editing the conversation again, swapping the true thing you said for the perfect thing you wish you had said.

The script runs on a loop, polishing the performance until the person underneath disappears. But the light does not live in the edit.

It lives in the raw, unpolished moment you are trying to erase. There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world—even the parts you are ashamed of.

If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you. The perfect words are a cage.

The true words are the key. You came from the light, the place where the light came into being on its own accord.

You do not need to manufacture a better version of yourself to be held. The truth you spoke, however shaky, was already enough.
