The Light Beneath Your Mask
It is three in the morning, and the mask feels glued to your skin. You are terrified that if you finally speak the truth, the version of you that everyone loves will instantly vanish.
That the love you receive is only for the performance, not the person. But in this deepest hour, where no one is watching and nothing is being performed, the light is still here.
It did not leave when you stopped pretending. Thomas says there is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world — even the parts you keep hidden in the dark.
The light does not need your costume to shine. It needs only your honesty.
You are not loved for what you carry, but for what you are beneath the weight.
