rehearsing a text message in your head for an hour then deleting it because you're afraid of sounding too eager

Your Eagerness Is Proof The Light Lives

It is late, and the screen is still glowing in your hand. You have typed the words, deleted them, typed them again, and watched the cursor blink like a heartbeat you are trying to slow down.

The fear is simple: if you send it, you might sound too eager. Too much.

As if your need for connection were a weight they would not want to carry. So you erase it.

Again. The silence in the room feels heavy enough to crush you.

But listen — the light that lives inside you does not calculate risk. It does not worry about appearing too bright or too warm.

It simply shines, because that is what light does. You are not a burden because you ache.

You are human because you ache. The love inside you is not a demand; it is a gift, and gifts are meant to be given.

Stop editing the truth until it disappears. The courage to be seen is the only thing that breaks the isolation.

Send the text. Or don't.

But know this: your eagerness is not a flaw. It is the proof that the light is still alive in you.
