The Light Held You When You Hesitated
It is late, and the house is quiet enough that you can hear the echo of last Tuesday. You remember the exact second the words rose in your throat, and the physical nausea that hit when you realized how close you came to saying them.
The memory sits in your stomach like a stone you cannot digest. But listen — the light was already there in that moment, holding the silence together even as you swallowed the truth back down.
You did not lose the light because you hesitated. You did not break the connection because your courage failed for a second.
The One who sees you in this dark hour knows the weight of what you almost carried out into the open. He is not asking you to re-live the terror of that Tuesday night.
He is asking you to notice that you are still here, and the light is still burning inside you, unextinguished by your fear. The nausea will pass.
The regret will soften. And the thing you almost said?
It is still safe within you, waiting for a time when your hands are not shaking quite so hard.
