Your Voice Was Never Meant to Whisper
It is late, and the house is finally quiet enough to hear the truth. You speak a single word into the dark, and it sounds foreign — a voice you have softened, sanded down, and shrunk until it fits comfortably in other people's hands.
You did not do this to be small. You did it to be safe.
To keep the peace. To make sure no one felt threatened by the weight of who you really are.
But in this silence, the distortion is loud. The light within you was never meant to be whispered.
It was meant to be spoken. Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.
Your real voice is not the one that apologizes for existing. It is the one that speaks the truth without flinching.
The light does not need your permission to be loud.
