Healing in the Mess of the Middle
In the long middle of the day, it is easy to feel that the world has grown too heavy to hold.
You see the fractures everywhere, and the weight presses down until the future feels like a closed door.
— but the light that walked among us found everyone intoxicated and blind, yet it did not leave them; it remained, afflicting its own heart with love.
That same light is inside you now, not waiting for the world to be fixed before it shines.
It is here in the mess, in the noise, in the terrible ordinary hours.
You are not the one who must fix the world, you are the one through whom the light is already healing it.
So stay here in the middle, and let the thing inside you do what the world cannot.
