Sobriety Is Boring and Nobody Warned You

For the person who got clean and discovered that life on the other side is flat. The substance filled every room with noise and now the rooms are silent. The highs are gone and nothing has replaced them. They are sober and bored and the boredom is its own kind of danger because at least the addiction made them feel something.
